Anna + Elena = Balbusso Twins are an internationally recognized award winning Italian artists team based in Milan. Since 1998, their work has been published by major international publishers and companies throughout the world in various media such as magazines, on cover jackets, books, in corporate communication, social communication, for promotion, advertising and design purposes. Their clients include magazines and newspapers such as The New Yorker magazine, The New York Times Sunday, The NYT Book Review, Reader’s Digest Magazine, Le Figaro Group, Le Monde, Abitare Magazine. They have illustrated numerous book jackets and over 40 books. Their artwork has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions and galleries in Italy and abroad. The Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, has included Balbusso Twins among the illustrators of The Decade 2010-present on www.illustrationhistory.org. The Balbussos’ work has gained over 70 international recognitions including three Gold Medals and the Stevan Dohanos Award of the Society of Illustrators New York, the Joseph Morgan Henninger Award and a Silver Award of the Society of Illustrators Los Angeles, the V&A Book Illustration Award UK and the 34th Andersen Prize Best Illustrator Italy.
