Kit Seaton began her career in theatrical production, and studied costume design at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. During her studies at UNCSA, she illustrated a children’s book, NINE DRAGONS: A CONTEMPORARY FABLE, Tuttle Publishing 2003. She then finished her BFA in Illustration from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, and earned her MFA in Illustration from the Hartford Art School. Seaton held the position of Professor in the Sequential Art program at Savannah College of Art and Design prior to joining the Illustration department at CSU Fullerton. She recently began collaborating on stories with her sister, Cat Seaton, a playwright and author. The sisters are in production on their current project, an upper young adult graphic novel series called NORROWAY. Seaton’s most recently completed project is a young adult graphic novel, AFAR, written by Leila Del Duca, and published by Image Comics in March 2017. Kit Seaton is excited to begin teaching with the Illustration Department at CSU Fullerton this Fall.
