A page from my mini comic based on the The Singing Bone story (L’Os Enchanté) by the Brothers Grimm published for the “Magazine Planches” in Quebec Canada.

We can experiences a lot of difficulties and challenges in the world, but all too often, it is the people closest to us who can be the most dangerous to our well-being.

In my desire to explore this idea, I chose to reimagine the Singing Bone by the Grimms brothers and my submission concentrates specifically on the betrayal that the main character experiences at the hands of his own brother when he returns home after having defeated a terrible monster. A moment of celebration is transformed into tragedy and hatred triumphs over love.
