“Miss Ying-Ning, or The Laughing Girl” from “Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio” by Pu Song-Ling is a story about a girl who is a fox spirit; a creature which, in ancient Chinese folklore, can bring either luck or mischief. This is my first digital illustration, created as an assignment for an illustration course I took in the fall of 2016.
