Editorial illustration for a class project. I chose to illustrate an image for a ScienceDaily article titled, “Day-time naps help us acquire information not consciously perceived.” The concept behind the illustration is bringing up unconscious information from the depths. The bottom of the brain represents the unconscious mind and the top brain represents the conscious mind. I chose to place the “unconscious” part of the brain underwater to push the idea of the depth that the information rises from.
