Wieden+Kennedy had created a “picnic shirt” for their client KFC – where a checkered shirt had a compartment where a full picnic blanket (still attached to the shirt) could be pulled out and used. They were creating a social media campaign to promote the novelty – and their food of course. This piece is actually a crop of a larger piece that was intended to be used as a complete piece as well as sectioned off for different posts and promotions. This section was to be used as the main focus. The client was looking to capture that vintage/Americana (advertising) family picnic feel.
