The objective for this project was to depict our favorite place in Minneapolis and what attracts us to it. I decided to illustrate a local club/venue called the Kitty Cat Klub, which has a very 70’s-esque elegance to it and represents the kind of quirky, unique places that thrive in smaller cities like Minneapolis. I aimed for the piece to be an embodiment of the overall ambience and character of the club, not necessarily a direct recreation.
